Transportation Team – We have daily needs (to and from work, school, doctor appointments, counseling), and on a weekly basis (weekly store runs)

 

Family Night Team– making and eating dinner together, baking, game nights, craft nights, going for walks…etc.   

 

Dinner with Friends – our weekly life skills class, which is held every Thursday at 5:30 pm.  This is an opportunity for community members to come together and support the girls and show them what it looks like for people to have dinner together and engage in uplifting conversation

 

Teach a Life Skills Class- on Thursday from 6:30-7:30 pm

 

Education Team – tutoring in basic math, reading, GED prep…etc.

 

Cleaning Team—To help with deep cleans every quarter or for special events

 

Special Events/Decorating Team—To help with seasonal decorating and events

 

Maintenance Team—Help with maintenance and yard work around the J127 campus

 

Work Groups—Plan a day to volunteer with your group

 

Teach “J” to drive-- Helping “J” learn to drive – this would include help with parallel parking practice, driving practice, and possibly assisting with transportation to and from driving test for a license 

Serve as a mentor for life--“Do life” with your girl, spending time with her regularly
(2-4 hours per month on average)

 

Social Media-- Some of the duties include assisting us with writing, editing, and publishing blog posts, press releases, PSAs, community calendar notices, publications, Facebook postings, website, and other materials promoting J127 Ministry.

J127 will provide in-depth training to ensure you feel confident and equipped for each of these notable volunteer roles
